Credenza (VV-8-1, VV-8-30, VE-8-30) “Orthophonic” (1925-1927)

The Credenza was the most expensive “Orthophonic” model introduced by the Victor Talking Machine Company in 1925, selling at the price of $275.00 ($4,034 in 2019) and $300.00 ($4,426 in 2019) by the end of its production run. It is estimated that about 63,000 and 30,642 electric versions were produced, about 93,642 in total. The Credenza featured mahogany and walnut veneers with a blended stain and lacquer finish. The position of the turntable changed throughout its production run as well.
