After realizing the “humpback” console models were not as popular as other Victrola models, the Victor Talking Machine Company redesigned their console models and released their “Flattop” Console models, starting with the VV-230. Starting at $100.00 ($1,528 in 2019), this model was extremely popular, with about 197,000 units sold.
