VV-XIV Victrola (1910-1921)
VV-110 (1921-1922)
Originally meant to fill the gap between the tabletop models and the full-size Victrola VTLA, the XIV was about $50 cheaper than the $200 VTLA, costing about $150 ($4,054 in 2019). By the end of the production run in 1921 the price was around $200 ($2,567 in 2019). The XIV was initially smaller and plainer looking than the flagship VTLA, but kept many of the same features, including the gold plated hardware. Eventually the hardware was changed to nickel-plated, and the size of the cabinet was increased. This model was popular, and about 270,000 were produced during its 11 year production run. In 1921, the model was rebranded to the Arabic numeral system and was changed from XIV to 110.
