VV-XVIII (1915-1916)
VE-XVIII (1915-1916)

Introduced in 1915, the XVIII was an extremely ornate and hand-carved Victrola. In 1915, the model sold for $300 ($7,626 in 2019). For $50 ($1,271 in 2019) extra dollars, one could have an electric version of the XVIII. Because this model was extremely expensive to make, sales were not great, and by 1916 the model was discontinued. The less expensive XVII replaced the XVIII in late 1916. About 3,408 units of this model were sold in two years, along with 1500 of the electric XVIII.
